Paneer Croquet


Ingredients :

  1. Paneer grated - 200gm
  2. Potato - 400gm
  3. Onion - 1 chopped
  4. Ginger - 1/2 inch chopped small
  5. Garlic - 2 clove chopped small
  6. Green chillies - 2 chopped
  7. Garam masala - 1/4teaspoon
  8. Chilli powder -1/4 teaspoon
  9. Cumin (jeera) powder -1/4 teaspoon
  10. Turmeric powder - a pinch
  11. Salt as needed
  12. Bread crumbs - 2 cups
  13. Flour - 1 cup
  14. Oil - 500ml 

Method :

  1. Boil the potatoes with little bit salt & pinch of turmeric.Peel the skin & Mash it.
  2. Heat a heavy bottomed pan with one tablespoon of oil,fry the chopped onions,garlic,ginger & green chillies for one minute.
  3. Then add the chilli powder,cumin powder,turmeric powder & Garam masala.Fry for few seconds
  4. Add the mashed potato,grated paneer & salt.Saute it for one minute.Switch off the fire.Let it cool down.
  5. Take a bowl,Mix the flour with water & make paste.
  6. Put the bread crumbs in a plate.
  7. Heat the oil in the frying pan.
  8. Make a small elongated ball of the paneer mixture,dip in the flour paste & toast both side in the bread crumbs.Fry the balls until golden in the hot oil.
  9. Serve with ketchup & mint chutney.
     Tips:you can make it in round shapes & use it as the Veg.patties for the Burger.
